 This image is a little different from my usual style.  It was done on Yupo paper, which does not allow for the same degree of control that watercolour paper does. Paint doesn't soak into Yupo, but simply flows on the surface wherever it will. The result is a very free feeling image, almost abstract even. So I thought, if I have no control over structure, I might as well have some fun with colour too! The painting actually sold while it was at the framer before I could think up a title. It was the framer who simply called it "Purple Trees" while writing up the invoice. I haven't decided yet if I'll do any more pieces with Yupo, but I have enjoyed the challenge and novelty of it.
